10 inch Asus 1005PE tops Amazon’s bestsellers list

Introduced just 10 days ago, the new Asus EEE PC 1005-PE not only became the most popular 10 inch netbook on Amazon, but almost the best sold netbook of all this month. In just 10 days.

I was in fact expecting for the follower of the famous 1005HA version to get on top, but actually not that fast. But, given the goodies the new series brings and its price, i should have predicted this.

Device keeps the same low profile aspect and glossy finish of the Seashell series, as these attributes were all so appreciated by the public on previous the EEE PCs. The big difference comes in battery life, and is also the main ingredient for 1005PE’s success, differentiating it from the other netbooks built on the Pine Trail platform: autonomy is up to 14 hours, which translates in 10+ hours during everyday use.
