A welcomed upgrade for the Gigabyte TouchNote T1028
As we we’re telling you yesterday about the number of tablet-netbooks that will reach the market in the near future, Gigabyte announced an upgrade for their Touchnote T1028 series of such devices.
The upgraded version, called T1028X brings up the same 10.1″ screen, but with increased resolution (1366 x 768 px), a better Atom N280 CPU, a bigger 6 Cell 7650mAh battery and an ExpressCard/34 slot . The other hardware details are standard: 1 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive, 3xUSB, card reader and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth . And since it’s a tablet-netbook, the screen is of course foldable. You can see more here, where Brad has a couple of video reviews of this netbook.

The Gigabyte tablet netbook now with an upgrade: T1028X
And while this Gigabyte TouchNote T1028 is not the first tablet-netbook on the market, it is perhaps the only one with such a screen size and a resolution . Thus, you might say it’s the best such device on the market at this moment. But, the price tag is high: $687 on Amazon (and i doubt you will find it cheaper somewhere else). If all the pluses over a regular netbooks worth the extra money, that’s up to you to decide.
