Acer Aspire 1825PT and 1825PTZ – new tablet netbooks from Acer
Remember the Asus 1820PT we saw unveiled at CeBIT earlier this month? It seems that model won’t have a long life, or a life at all, at least not with this name, as leaked info on Acer’s new lines of mobile computers suggest two new devices in the 11.6 inch class: the Aspire 1825PT and 1825PTZ.
Both will feature capacitive multi-touch display and powerful ULV hardware. Early specs for those two can be found bellow:
- Acer Aspire 1825PTZ - Intel SU 4100 processor, 3GB of memory, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium
- Acer Aspire 1825PT - Intel SU 7300 processor, 4GB of memory, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium
Now word on connectivity options or battery lifes just yet, but there are rumors claiming the new Acer laptops will come with up to 9 Cell batteries, so really expect quite an autonomy.
Also, no info on prices just yet, but more should be known by the end of this Month. early predictions for the 1820PT anticipated prices of around 600 bucks for the device and I believe these two new devices will be around there somewhere also, probably a tad cheaper.
Anyway, expect quite a power-run from Acer. They are prepping some amazing devices, both in terms of hardware and design. And the touch netbooks Aspire 1825PT and 1825PTZ are only some of the first to come (also, there’s the Acer TimelineX 1830T i wrote about a couple of days ago).
