Acer refreshes 1810T and AS1410 lines for Windows 7
Acer offers some of the best netbooks on the market, so it’s no wonder they are now the leader in this segment, beating their old rival Asus in the last months. Acer products are known for their incredibly low prices, corroborated with good performances and durable build, although some features might not be as good as other have to offer.
With the imminent launch of Windows 7 on tomorrow, Acer announced already the updated versions of some of their most popular netbooks, the 11.6 inch As1410 and 1810T. Both of them will be available with Windows 7 Home Premium from October 22nd.
First, the affordable Acer Aspire As1410 got new processors and a couple of upgrades. The old SU3500 Core Solo processor will be replaced by either the 1.3 GHz Celeron 743 CPU or the 1.2 GHz dual core SU2300 . Along come 2 GB of RAM, GMA 500 graphics, a 250 GB hard-drive , Wireless N and a 6 Cell battery . Also, both versions are now a little bit cheaper and also available for preorder: the single core version will run for $399 , while the more powerful dual core one runs for $429 .

Acer 1810T - same on the outside, improved on the inside
The higher class Acer Aspire 1810T got a couple of buffs for Windows 7 too, now boosting a dual core SU7300 processor, Intel 4500HD graphics, 4 GB of RAM, a 320 GB hard-drive, HDMI output and top class connectivity, with Bluetooth and Wi-fi N . Battery life is better also, as you can squeeze up to 8 hours from the 6 cell one. And all these for $599, definitely a very good choice for one of the best 11.6 inch netbooks on the market right now. For more details, reviews and pics, see this link.
In the next days Acer will probably update the 10 inch class also, so stay tuned for that. Also, later today I’m going to post about all the available netbooks on the market with Windows 7 available now or in the near future, so you might want to read that one too.
