Amazon Kindle 3 – video review and pictures
Hey Guys, as I promised in my previous post about the Amazon Kindle 3 digital reader, I managed to get my hands on the new ebook reader last week and got a nice video review and some pictures.
I do have to say that I had the white 3G version which is available in UK for 150 pounds (the one available in the States for $189) and was quite impressed with what Amazon managed to do with this device. It’s quite a lot more compact and slimmer than the previous generation and also lighter. The screen is slightly better, with improved contrast, although you will see the differences in browsing and reading comics more than when reading books.
You also get Wi-Fi which, corroborated with the new browser, makes this device a proper gadget for reading blogs, newspapers and all kind of online static sites. The picture below shows my post about the Kindle 3 here on the site.

All in all, if the Kindle 3 was the reader i recommended before, I definitely appreciate it even more now that I’ve seen it live. Of course, touch commands might have been OK, but as it is, the new KIndle 3 manages to offer exactly what you need: a portable device for reading electronic books, listening to music and scooping online sites.
The clip below, a mini video review of the Kindle 3, should tell you more.
Also, there are some more pictures below.
