It does when you travel by plane and maximum weight of your pack in cabin is 17 pounds (some of your airliners are very strict about it) and you have to take your laptop (with ac adaptor, headphones with mic, its protective bag etc.) plus all the rest things you need. Also if the size of the machine is smaller you can take smaller briefcase which of course weighs less so you have more pounds for other things. The 0.3 ain’t significant but it adds up with different things to save weight so you can travel with out placing your bag to hold section, which saves alot money.

It doesn’t, but if he wants the lightest… I for one know what “autonomy” means , but it can also be used as a synonym for “battery life”, based on my knowledge. Am i wrong?

Thanks about your help it’s greatly
appreciated. Do you know is there any machine similar to “og” Eee PC 701 which I have (its broken now)? It’s so light and small so it’s pleasure to carry around. If there would be similar laptop to that then I could by one of those and one 1215N.

It won’t . If you are ready to loose autonomy, you can look for laptops with smaller batteries. That heavy I was hoping it would be like 2.5pounds. Is there any method to make laptop lighter? Will replacing hdd with ssd help?

Oh, sry, i thought the comment was on the post about the 1215n. I got things mixed out. Sry, i don’t know exactly how much will the 1015N weigh, but i would reckon around 2.7-2.8 with battery on

So Mike 1015N isn’t gona be lighter
than 1215N because in your review about
1215n you say
“pretty light (around 2.9 pounds”?
