Asus 1015PW announced, with dual core ATOM and fancy looks

Already confused by the huge number of Asus EEE PCs available on the market?

Well, there’s one more to come in the near future, the Asus 1015PW, which ain’t and ordinary 10 incher, but one most of use would love to have.

In terms of hardware, it resembles the Asus 1015PEM model, bringing pretty much the same hardware and features: the N550 dual-core Atom processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of memory, 250/320 GB hard-drive plus the now default 500GB EEE Storage online offered for most EEE PCs, Wi-Fi N and Bluetooth 3.0 and Windows 7 Starter.

There’s also the same chiclet keyboard and wide trackpad and while I’m not really sure about battery life, it is probably the same big 6 Cell one found on the 1015PEM and 1015PED, capable of up to 10 hours of life in everyday use.

New design and colors for the exterior of the Asus EEE PC 1015PW

Now, what really makes this EEE PC special is its design, as the Asus 1015PW comes with a wave like finish for the exterior, which actually looks quite good, and three new color options: Purple Rain, Gold Dust and Angel Skin . In fact, these are the only color options available for this 10 incher, so I doubt too many guys would go for one. But it should kill for feminine audience and would be a great gift idea for Christmas.

Same colors, trackpad and display

No info yet on availability and prices, but I would expect it to pop out in Europe very soon, with prices around 370 euros, similar to the ones of the more conservative 1015PEM . Not sure when or if it will get to the States, but stay tuned, I’ll update as soon as I found new info.
