Asus 1215N EEE PC spoted on Amazon.com
Just spotted the Asus 1215N on Amazon.com.
As mentioned in my review, it goes for $499. The only other US site to have it listed till now was excaliberpc.com, and they just recently raised prices to $550 (update, they offer a discount now and price dropped back to $499) .
Anyway, that device on Amazon is currently listed as Temporary out of stock. But with all the reviews that were posted yesterday on the big sites, i’d reckon it should become available for preorder soon. Latest rumors give October 3rd as the date this machine will eventually begin shipping in the States, but I do hope it will happen sooner.
Notice this version comes with 2 GB of memory, but you get 2 x 1 GB modules , so upgrading would be a pain. And be careful, there are incompatibilities with various 2x2GB kits.
Also, no details whether this version will come with 2xUSB 3.0 slots or not.
