Asus Eee PC T101MT gets closer and closer

Asus has been teasing us with a 10 inch convertible netbook, called Eee PC T101MT, for quite a while. At that time, their product was actually intriguing, now is not any more, as their device is still not here, while other producers already sell similar products, like the Lenovo S10-3t.

Still, the Asus Eee PC T101MT is now closer than ever, as Asus finally put up the official page for this product on their site. And finally released some official photos and specs.

Specs are similar to the ones already rumored last month: N450 Atom processor, 1 or 2 GB of RAM, up to 320 GB hard-drive + 500 GB EEE Storage online , Bluetooth+ Wi-fi N, Windows 7 OS (Starter or Home) etc. There’s also the same 10 inch multi-touch convertible screen with 1024 x 600 px resolution. Too bad it’s a resistive display though, i really am looking forward to see how well will multi-touch perform on it (only saw it on capacitive displays so far).

So all in all, a very nice device, but i would have gone with a bigger battery, as the 3 Cell one included can only offer up to 6.5 hours in practice. And the looks are top notch also, as you can see from the pictures below. And, if i reckon correctly, there’s a matte case both inside and outside, and that’s something we don’t usually see on Asus devices.

There’s still no exact info on price or availability, although rumors claim Asus plans to ship the Eee PC T101MT from April. As for the price, it will probably start from somewhere around $450. Stay tuned, we’ll update once we find more.
