Asus Slider Tablet comes with slide out keyboard
The 10.1 inch Asus Slider tablet was recently introduced at MWC and comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, but not completely horizontally.
As it slides out, the screen moves up, and so it looks kind of a netbook when you take the keyboard out from behind the display.
Netbooknews.com says that this large tablet comes with a Tegra 2 processor and GFORCE graphics and it will run Android Honeycomb, of course.
Although you might think that the keyboard makes this one a hassle to carry around, the overall thickness does not exceed 18mm, so it should be pretty easy to carry around.
Considering the hardware, you can even use the keyboard as a stand for when watching some 1080p videos and you don’t want to keep the tablet in your hands, but on a table somewhere. The finish is quite classy, as the edges of the screen are curvy and come with some chromed touches.

The bezel around the screen is glossy and big enough to hold without problems, and it comes with a iPad looking button on the bottom. On the sides there are some touch sensitive Android buttons for menu and back. Overall, the device looks really good and you’ll be able to flash it anywhere and catch the attention of everyone in the room.
The tablet comes with two cameras, a 1.3 MP one in front, more suited for video calls, and a 5 MP one in the back, for photos and videos, probably at the 720p standard. For a few bucks more, you can grab the 3G version, with the most expensive version to go for around $800, while the cheapest should tick in at around $500. Between the two, besides 3G, there’s probably some storage options and available memory. Expect the Asus Slider Tablet to wink at you from shelves this May.
