Black Friday 2009 netbook deals (updated daily)

We just entered the straight line for the start of this year’s winter sales season. It will all happen on November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving, officially known as Black Friday 2009. And since we talk here on this site about mini notebooks, it would be wise to plan ahead and see what kind of Black Friday netbook deals there might be available for us at the end of this month.

As you know, Windows 7 netbooks just kicked on and are gaining ground fast over the older ones, with poorer specs and XP on board. And although the new devices are better equipped, prices haven’t rise too much. In fact, some producers like Acer for example dropped them, and you can now easily find a proper mainstream netbook for just around 300 – 330 bucks.

By the end of the month however, I for one am expecting some great bargains. Based on what happened last year, all the producers will have special deals on Black Friday, deals that will include:

  • 10-20% price cuts on new products
  • 20%+ price cuts on bundle
  • free accessories if you buy a certain type of mini laptop (or big cuts for accessories bought alone)
  • rebates and coupons only available for limited period of time (probably early in the morning of the after Thanksgiving Friday)
  • last but not least, best Black Friday 2009 netbook deals will probably be offered offline by big stores like BestBuy, Wallmart, etc as early birds. So they’ll only be available in limited numbers, but should go very very cheap.

Rumors are starting to mention netbooks for under $200 bucks, equipped with Linux. I would love if that would be the case, but i kind of doubt it right now. You have to consider that fact that netbooks are already cheap and sold on tight profit margins. Cutting prices too much would mean selling on loss, and that’s not really a smart thing to do, unless they want to get rid of stocks or something.

Anyway, in the next days and weeks I’m going to add to this post all the good deals i can find, both online and offline, along with coupons and rebate codes. All of them will be available for US stores only. So, stay tuned for more details and don’t forget to subscribe if you don’t want to miss any of the good Black Friday netbook sales available this year.

And here are the deals (more to come soon):

Small netbooks and smartbooks:

10 inch netooks:

11.6-12.1 inch netbooks:

13.3 inch mini laptops:

Accessories and upgrades:

For more accessories read these posts about recommended mice, flash drives, external optic units and cases.

That’s about it for now. More devices might get hear during Black Friday and the next weekend. Also, prices might vary and might modify without us updating them here. The only way to know for sure is to check them on the sites, via the link given above.

Also, if you have questions and comments, please don’t hesitate to post them below.
