HP PalmPad touchtablet, with WebOS, could come in Q1 2011
Rumors of an HP touch tablet have been around for a while. And while in spring a device was expected for Q3 2010, called the HP Slate, that one is history now.
Still, HP bought Palm recently and there have been speculations on a new tablet, this time powered by the WebOS operating system, inherited from Palm. They even filed copyright for the term PalmPad.

HP tablet with webOS might see the light in Q1 2011
Now, Engadget has some new leaks on the subject. It seems that such a device will indeed be revealed in the first months of 2011, as it was mentioned with the code name ” Hurricane ” during an employee meeting yesterday, at HP.
Of course, like every rumor, this should be taken with grain and salt. I’ve already gone sick of this never ending HP slate story, but who knows, we might see some final for it after all.
Other details are scarce if none at all. We should probably expect a 7 or 10 inch gadget powered by ARM Cortex processor (hopefully the A9, like the updated iPad will). Also, these tablets will come with 3 different operating system options, including Windows 7, Android and WebOS.
But we should expect more episodes in the HP tablet saga. Many many more, while in the meantime, Apple keeps selling millions of iPads. And other such touchscreen devices are just around the corner. GG HP ![]()
