Jolicloud OS is available to download
Called by some of the big gadgets sites out there “The OS your netbook has been screaming for”, Jolicloud is now available to download, in English or French (a German version will be added by the end of the week).
Meant to be a light OS for netbooks and mini portable computers, Jolicloud is one of the first OS-es to emphasize on cloud-computing services. It’s very easy to install from a netbook already running Windows 7 or XP and also offers a very simple and smart application management system.
I too am looking forward to give it a try later today or tomorrow morning. I’m really curios to see how snappy it is and what kind of apps are available right now.
I’m not really a fan of light OSes, but if it will provide a good browser, good multimedia/audio files management and a proper text editor, while offering way better performance than Windows 7, i might even consider giving it a chance. Especially since it’s free.

Jolicloud - light OS for netbooks, based on cloud-computing services
So, once again, download Jolicloud from the link at the top of the article and give it a spin yourself. And look forward for impressions and details on this OS in the following days (of course, your input will be greatly appreciated, so if you’ve test it, please leave a comment with your opinions).
