Karim’s Asus 1008P-KR is now available in stores

You remember the 1008P-KR Special Collection Edition I tested this week, don’t you? Peter signaled it is now available in stores, on Amazon.com . Price is $499, close to what i anticipated, although i was expecting it to cost 20-30 bucks less.

Anyway, for this kind of money you get:

  • Intel Atom N450 processor + GMA 3150 graphics
  • 1 GB of RAM and 320 GB hard drive
  • Windows 7 Starter OS
  • 3 Cell battery

For now, only the brown version is available, so we have a device identical to the one i tested. Check out my review of the Asus 1008P-KR for more details on how good it is.
