Lenovo Ideapad U260 caught on video: what an ultraportable
We’ve told you about the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 before, the 12.5 inch sytlish ultraportable laptop the Americans we’re prepping for us. In the mean time, it’s already shipping from Lenovo’s site and it was caught on video, so anyone can see how truly amazing it is.
Most of you reading the blog you know I’m almost never enthusiastic about anything, but this Lenovo really is something. I’m still going to focus on the design, as Lenovo tried to make this series look like a leather envelope or a leather covered portfolio business people carry around on their meetings. Hence, they elaborated the casing in this direction, with a classy matte soft finish and two available colors: Clementine Orange and Dark Brown . You can also notice the edges on the case, perfectly resembling the ones of a book.

Lenovo IdeaPad U260 - portable and powerful - just awesome
Still, when opening the U260, you’ll find a state of the art computer. There’s a 12.5 inch 1366 x 768 LED backlit display, a nice chiclet Full-size keyboard and a properly sized trackpad. Plus, the technology inside, with Intel Arrdanle ULV processors, 4 GB of memory, Intel HD graphics, enough storage space and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. So enough to handle pretty much all you can trow at it while on the go.
Because, as a device designed for business people, this is truly portable, measuring less than 0.7 inches in thickness and weighing just 3 pounds .
So pretty much a goodie, although I still no knowing about estimated battery life on this one or the capacity of the battery. Anyway, I also promised you a hands-on video, and you can find it below from the guys at netbooknews.com , founding the U260 showcased at CES.
Like I’ve said, the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is already selling and shipping in the States on Lenovo’s website. Prices usually start from $999, but for a limited time only, you get 200 bucks OFF when using the coupon code: “USPIDEAPADU260“ at checkout. So the Core i3 equipped U260 only goes for $799. Wow, this is for sure a deal I would jump on if on the market for such a device.
