More Dell tablets by the end of the year
At the recent Dell event i went today, where they launched the Dell Streak in my country, I just managed to find out something interesting: Dell will have other tablets in stores by the end of this year.
That didn’t came from Dell’s guys, who in fact tried to “not answer” all questions about future plans, but from the manager of the biggest online IT store here, which happens to offer exclusively a couple of Dell Devices, including the Streak. So that makes them very credible in my eyes.
I find it a wise decision actually to have more tablets on the market, and not all-rounders like the Streak 5. I’m hoping for a 7 Inch Dell tablet. But there might even be a 10 inch competitor for the iPad? No info on hardware, software or prices. In fact, there are no details at all, except the fact that we should see them this year. Still, I would reckon for ARM powered machines, hopefully with Tegra 2, and with Android.
Plus, these info come to strengthen early predictions from this Spring, like this one on Engadget.

These mockups from Spring are closer and closer to becoming reality
And who knows, maybe we’ll see these ones when Dell will finally manage to push the 2.2 Froyo for Streak? A 7 inch compact tablet, with the looks and build quality of their 5 incher, but better price and that improved software… well, that would be a gadget I for one would buy. All in takes now is some patience…
