More details on the 10 inch Samsung netbooks: N150 and N210/N220
Samsung launched a couple of new netbooks at CES this year, and while i already wrote about the Moblin powered N127 or the rough NB30, it’s time to take a more detailed look at the mainstream oriented N150 and N220 models. That, thanks to the folks present at CES, who could actually shoot them on camera, for those less lucky, like us, to see
(Like Brad from Liliputing, once again)
First, there’s the Samsung N150, perhaps the cheapest of all the new Sammy PineTrail powered netbooks. Will bring an Atom N450 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 160 GB hard drive and a battery capable of up to 7.5 hours of life. And while not at all impressive, these specs are decent for a laptop that will probably sell for around $300-$330 .
As for the exterior, pictures speak for themselves: nothing extraordinary also; i did notice however the 10 inch matte display and the chiclet keyboard, although keys are kind of cramped and not as spaced as on similar keyboards from Asus or Dell.

As for the N210/N220 line, this one brings identical hardware, but a better keyboard and multi-touch touchpad, plus a bigger 6 Cell battery capable of an autonomy up to 12 hours. Both devices will come in black or white and actually look quite nice.
There’s one big difference between the N220 and the N210, besides the fact that the first is meant for the European market, while the second will be seen in the US: keyboard layout. The N210 comes with a bigger Enter, while the N210 comes with a bigger right Shift key. So glad i leave in Europe
Anything else seems to be the same on the two versions.

Anyway, we’ll find more about these new Samsung netbooks once they’ll finally get in stores, in the next couples of weeks. So stay tuned and don’t forget to subscribe.
