Netgear WiFi routers with 3G/4G option or DSL

With the new faster WiFi N wireless standard becoming more and more common these days, launching new routers using this technology is not longer a front page story. That’s why leading producers like Netgear are always on the look for innovations and improvement, thus, their new WiFi routers lines launched at CES 2010 with some interesting extra features:

  • MBRN3000 – broadband router that comes with WiFi N support, USB slot and 3G/4G/WiMAX wireless backup.
  • DGN2200M – DSL modem with WiFi N, USB slot and automatic failover to 3G/4G/WiMA.

So, as you can see in the pictures, most important novelty brought by these routers is the fact that you can hook the provided 3G modem via the USB port, thus having a backup option in case the regular line goes down . Of course, lots of other useful features are included, check out the complete feature’s lists for all of the models via the links above.

Netgear’s new routers will hit the market from March 2010 with prices from $129 to $179 . And yes, they are more expensive than other routers on the market, but you do have to consider these are Netgears (a brand synonym with reliability) and come with these unique backup systems no other similar product offers at the moment.
