Shuttle XS35 – stylish netbooks with dual-core Atom and Ion 2
The folks at Shuttle have been always known for their compact computers, but haven’t been too active in the nettops segment (although they have some older models). This is about to change, as they announced a pretty powerful and fancy looking device, the Shuttle XS35.
This new Shuttle packs a new PineTrail dual core processor, the D510 (2 x 1.66 GHz), with the NM10 Express Chipset and Nvidia GT218 graphics, know for now as Ion 2. So, it should be pretty impressing in terms fo performances, allowing users to watch all kinds of HD content and even play some of the modern 3D game. Besides the above, the XS35 also packs HDMI output, 5xUSB ports, a 2.5″ storage drive and an internal optic unit. No info on conenctivity, but it seems there’s only going to be Enthernet Lan available, with no Wi-fi or Bluetooth. More details in Shuttle’s press release.

Shuttle XS35 - stylish, compact and powerful new nettop
The cool part is that they managed to keep this nettop only 3.3 cm thick (1.3 inches), while making it VESA compliant, so it can be easily mounted on the back of a HDTV or LCD display. Thus, you get an invisible mini-computer. It won’t do bad on your desk either, as you can notice from the pictures how sleek it looks.
More details should be unveiled at Cebit next week, as the XS35 will be displayed on Shuttle’s site and will probably be one of the main attractions. Hopefuly, we’ll also find the price and expected shipment dates for the little nettop.
