Ultra-slim LG X300 get hands-on preview
Paul from Engadget.com got the chance to get a hands-on with the LG X300, the ultra-slim and light 11.6 inch netbook we’ve been looking forward to see on the market since early January, when it was first unveiled at CES las Vegas.
This device is heading towards the US but we don’t know for sure how much will it cost or when it will actually be available in stores.
One thing is for sure though, the LG X300 is amazing in terms of looks and offers a nice full-size chiclet keyboard. Touchpad is wide too, but a little bit odd, as it lacks standard buttons, using haptic ones instead (virtual buttons with a haptic response, similar to the one you get on capacitive-displays).
Inside you will get the 2.0 GHz ATOM Z550 processor, 2 GB of RAM, SSD storage, Wi-Fi and 3G. So don’t expect a power-gorse, but this mini laptop will surely become a great travel companion, if you will afford it. Cause by the looks of it, i believe it’s going to have similar prices as the likes of Sony’s Vaio X. But stay tuned for more details in the next days, when the mysteries of US prices and availability should be elucidated .
